Adult Programs : BC METS - Lunch & a Movie

BYO (BRING YOUR OWN) LUNCH AND A MOVIE

Join us for a fun new monthly tradition - lunch & a movie! I'll have light snacks - so bring your own lunch, and we’ll watch a classic fun movie and enjoy our wonderful community, entertained while we eat! Think Jaws, Three Men & a Baby or An Affair to Remember. Reach out to Maura at m.morrow@bcmud.org to put in a suggestion for a future movie!

Tuesday, June 24: THELMA
In this poignant action-comedy, June Squibb plays Thelma Post, a feisty 93-year-old grandmother who gets conned by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson and sets out on a treacherous quest across Los Angeles, accompanied by an aging friend (Richard Roundtree) and his motorized scooter, ro reclaim what was taken from her. Inspired by a real-life experience of director Josh Margolin's own grandmother, THELMA shines the spotlight on an elderly grandmother as an unlikely action hero. With infection humor, Margolin employs the familiar tropes of the action genre in hilarious, age-appropriate ways to tackle aging with agency.
