Dear BCMUD residents,

You may notice lower water levels at Archipelago Retention Pond in the Highland Horizon neighborhood this summer. Last week, a void developed within the stormwater pond, causing a noticeable amount of water to drain from the pond.

As required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), BCMUD staff will pump the remaining water from the pond over the coming months to allow for a thorough investigation to determine what caused the void and identify solutions. At this time, we encourage residents and visitors to avoid approaching the pond while we conduct our investigation.
