Dear Brushy Creek MUD residents,

There is a lot that makes the Brushy Creek community a special place to call home. To name a few, our parks and green spaces, water system, and financial management have all earned recognition through awards from organizations across Texas and beyond.

One of our top priorities is providing services and amenities our residents can be proud of. That includes security.

Security can be one of those things you don't think much about until you need it. At BCMUD, we put a lot of thought and resources into making sure our residents, visitors, and District property are protected every day.

District security personnel regularly patrol our parks, facilities, and other properties. BCMUD also contracts with Williamson County Sheriff's deputies who provide approximately 199 hours per month of off-duty patrol and law enforcement. Williamson County also provides officers for after-school patrols, District events, and meetings.

Ultimately, the security measures executed by District staff with assistance from Williamson County ensure a continuous presence throughout BCMUD. District-funded security vehicles, cameras, lighting, surveillance systems, and other technology provide even more layers of protection.

That same commitment to security and protection extends to our Superior Water System and other critical infrastructure. BCMUD uses cameras, motion sensors, improved lighting, emergency alert systems, and other technological tools to help protect our water facilities and keep our water supply secure. Those efforts were recognized by TCEQ with its 2025 Water System Security Program Award.

Keeping our community safe is something we take extremely seriously. With such an abundance of parks, trails, greenbelts and recreation facilities, we have many wonderful spaces to protect. We want residents and visitors to feel comfortable enjoying them all, whether you're taking a morning walk, watching the kids play, or simply spending some time outside.

Much of this work happens quietly in the background, which is exactly how it should be. We want you to know that we will never stop prioritizing the safety and security of everything that makes our community so incredible. From additional law enforcement to regular security patrols and monitored water facilities, these efforts help protect the places and experiences that make up The Brushy Creek Life.
